Want an Electric Dirt Bike for Your Kids? Meet the Vida Dirt.E K3
For many motorcycle enthusiasts, the interest in two wheels begins at a young age. Before moving on to full-size motorcycles, many riders first learn basic skills such as balance, throttle control, and braking through bicycles or small motorcycles.
Electric mobility is now entering this space with products designed specifically for younger riders. One such model is the Vida Dirt.E K3, an electric off-road motorcycle developed for children between the ages of 4 and 10 years.
The Dirt.E K3 has arrived in Nepal as part of Vida’s international expansion, with Nepal becoming the first market outside India to receive Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand. Introduced through CG Motors, the official partner of Vida in Nepal, the electric dirt bike is priced at Rs 1,99,900.
Unlike Vida’s electric scooters, which are aimed at daily commuting, the Dirt.E K3 is focused on recreational riding and introducing children to off-road motorcycles.
Adjustable Design For Growing Riders
A common limitation with children’s motorcycles is that they are often outgrown quickly. The Dirt.E K3 addresses this with a three-stage adjustable frame that allows the motorcycle to be configured in Small, Medium, and Large settings.
The height and wheelbase can be adjusted using a single tool, allowing the motorcycle to accommodate different rider sizes as children grow. The adjustable setup is designed to maintain a familiar riding position while children develop basic riding techniques, including controlling acceleration, braking, and body movement.
Electric Motor And Riding Modes
The Dirt.E K3 is powered by a 350W continuous electric motor with a peak output of 500W. It uses a removable 360Wh battery pack that can be charged separately. According to Vida, the battery takes around three hours to charge fully and can provide up to three hours of riding time depending on terrain and selected mode.
The motorcycle comes with three riding modes:
- Beginner mode: 8 km/h
- Amateur mode: 16 km/h
- Pro mode: 25 km/h
Parents can adjust speed limits and riding modes through app-based controls.
Off-Road Equipment And Safety Features
The Dirt.E K3 follows the design of a small off-road motorcycle, featuring 16-inch spoked wheels, a rear hydraulic disc brake, and an adjustable chassis.
Safety features include a child-sized brake lever, impact-absorbing components, an over-moulded wiring harness, and a magnetic lanyard-based kill switch that cuts power if the rider becomes separated from the motorcycle.
The removable battery is housed in a sealed enclosure designed to protect it from dust and moisture, while the magnetic connector helps simplify installation.
Hero MotoCorp’s Global Development
The Dirt.E K3 was developed by Hero MotoCorp’s engineering teams at the Hero Tech Centre Germany and the Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur. Production takes place at Hero MotoCorp’s green manufacturing facility in Tirupati, India, where Vida electric vehicles are manufactured.
The model has also received international design recognition, including the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and CES Innovation Award 2026.
With electric vehicles expanding beyond conventional commuting, products like the Vida Dirt.E K3 indicate how manufacturers are exploring new areas of mobility — including the first riding experiences of future motorcyclists.
